Trash Destination

The Trash destination discards rows from the pipeline. You might use the Trash destination as a visual representation of rows that are dropped from the pipeline. You might also use the Trash destination as a temporary placeholder so you can preview pipeline processing as you develop the pipeline.

For example, the following pipeline uses the Stream Selector processor to route data to different destinations based on the specified conditions. The Stream Selector processor routes all remaining rows to the third output location. To discard those rows, you can connect the output to a Trash destination:
