Trusted Domains for Data Collectors

Data Collectors registered with your organization issue authentication requests to Control Hub. To further secure your organization’s data, you can configure a list of trusted domains that can make authentication requests to Control Hub. Control Hub verifies that each registered Data Collector making a request to Control Hub on behalf of your organization belongs to one of the trusted domains.

Configure the trusted domains in the organization details. Click Administration > Organizations in the Navigation panel. Then click the organization name to display the organization details.

In the Valid Domains property, enter the list of domains and host machines allowed to send requests to Control Hub for your organization. Enter multiple values separated with commas, as follows:

.<domain name1>.com,.<domain name2>.com,<host name1>,<host name2>

Control Hub treats any value that begins with a dot (.) as a domain name. Control Hub treats all other values as a host name.

For example, enter the following to restrict access to host names within the domain named mycompany:

.mycompany.com

Enter the following to restrict access to the host machines named host1 and host2:

host1,host2

Default is the asterisk wildcard (*) which means that registered Data Collectors making a request to Control Hub on behalf of your organization can belong to any domain.
