Before You Begin

Before you start this tutorial, you'll need to do a few things:

  1. Before you can build a pipeline, you must set up a Data Collector deployment in IBM StreamSets.

    For information about how to set up a deployment, see the Control Hub documentation.

  2. Your Control Hub user account must have the following roles to create, run, and monitor the pipeline:
    • Engine Creator or Administrator
    • Pipeline Editor
  3. Create directories local to the Data Collector. Let's use the same base directory for the destination and error files as follows: 
    /<base directory>/tutorial/destination
