Overview

You can upgrade StreamSets Control Hub version 2.7.x or later to version 3.57.x. You cannot upgrade from a version earlier than 2.7.x.

Important: Upgrading from version 3.17.x or earlier can take a longer time than previous upgrades. For more information, see Update Schemas in the Relational Databases.

Upgrading Control Hub includes the following high-level tasks:

Preparing for the upgrade
Shut down and back up the previous Control Hub version and then back up the Control Hub databases. Depending on the version that you are upgrading from, create the new required databases.
Upgrading the initial Control Hub instance
Upgrade the system Data Collector when appropriate, install the new Control Hub version, update Control Hub schemas, and generate authentication tokens for the Control Hub applications.
Upgrading a highly available environment
For a highly available production environment, upgrade the additional Control Hub instances and the load balancer used by Control Hub.
You can run a single Control Hub instance in a development environment. If you are upgrading a development environment, you can skip this section.
Starting and logging into the upgraded Control Hub
Completing post upgrade tasks
In some situations, you must complete tasks within Control Hub after you upgrade.
